Hello!
I want to start by thanking you for your prayers and support, because if you are reading this I know that you have an interest in what God is going to do through me and Encounter Revival Ministries (ERM) in this next year. For those of you that don't know, ERM is a missions based organization that is made up of college-age adults who travel around the United States ministering to churches through singing, kids and teens programs, and daily messages from God's Word. The team has about 20-25 young adults that have committed to a year of serving God through the Encounter ministry. The team member's year begins with 5-6 weeks of training camp in which songs are learned, voices are trained, and hearts and minds are prepared for serving. After training camp, the team then begins traveling to various churches spending a week at each before moving on to the next. Along with ministering at churches, the team will also visit various schools and organizations to spread the gospel. After a short break at home for the holidays the team returns to the ERM base in Harrisburg, PA for another round of traveling. Included in the spring semester is an overseas missions trip usually 2-3 weeks long. Previous missions trips have included Africa, India, Myanmar, Jamaica, and many others. Once the traveling is complete, the team returns to the base in PA to prepare for summer camp, where the team members will each be counsellors during the 6 weeks of junior and teen camp. The ERM team member year is complete following the final week of summer camp. Team members may stay on the Encounter team for as many years as they feel led, however most of the young adults stay for two years before going on to further their education or join the work force again. Encounter Revival Ministries is a nonprofit organization in which each team member is required to raise their own support as a missionary. Many of the team members send out monthly newsletters or emails to inform their church families and loved ones of the many experiences involved, how they are doing on support, and personal prayer requests or praises. This blog is my way of sharing my experiences with those who are interested. Thank you for joining me in this exciting and important time in my life. My year with Encounter begins on August 16th, 2014 and I look forward to sharing with you in the next year.

In Christ,
Anna Tautges
