Hey Everyone!!
It's the end of training camp week 1 and what a week it's been! I will start by telling you about the other people I will be traveling with this year. First off, all of the "first year's" were welcomed so incredibly warmly by the "second or third years", it's been such an encouragement! We have all been bonding quickly and easily and there has been tons of laughter based on our crazy personalities mixed together. We have learned a total of 7 songs already this first week and will have a total of 20-25 memorized by the time we hit the road in 5 weeks. What a regular day of training camp is as follows (with some wiggle room and work projects mixed in, of course) :
7am rise and shine, 8:15am breakfast, 9:00am personal bible time, 9:45 until around 11-11:30 class, 12:30 lunch, 1:30-4:00 rehearsal, 5:30 dinner, 6:30-8:30 free time, 9-10 team or dorm devotions, and 11:00 lights out.
Hung Ling, one of the missionary contacts from Myanmar, came to visit Encounter for the first time on Wednesday. We had a great time talking to him and learning more about his ministry over there. Also, board meetings took place Thursday through Saturday which we were able to sing 3 songs for the board for the first time. It was announced this past week that Zambia, Africa will indeed be the location of our missions trip in April of 2015. The missions trip will cost around $3,500 along with some extra expenses. If you would join me in praying for God to provide the finances I would appreciate it greatly. Another prayer request for me would be that God would prepare my heart for the lessons that I am learning daily, and for the changes that need to be made. Also, that conflict would be as nonexistent as possible in the team so that there are no divisions. Thank you all for your support and prayers. I will let you know when I have another update ready for all of you!!
In Christ,
Anna
