Hi everybody!
Here's my recap on this past week at Faith Christian School as well as the church. My "host home" for the week turned out the be an apartment owned by the church and right across the parking lot, where I stayed with two other girls. The pastor and his wife took care of us but for the most part we were on our own!  Sunday went without a hitch as we had a morning service, potluck and afternoon concert for the church. Before I go any further tho I will fill you in on the week's "schedule" so you're hopefully not confused at all. :)
Monday - Friday we were supposed to have morning and afternoon chapels with the kids and teens from the school. Wednesday - Friday evenings we were supposed to have normal services at the church. Well the week didn't go as planned (as usual in life), that's for sure! Monday, everything went great and it was looking to be a wonderful week. You see, we had prepared a 5 day, Monday-Friday, plan for kids chapel going through the entire story of Pilgrim's Progress. Kid-friendly of course. :) So Monday went well and we were on track for that. But Tuesday morning we got the text that said that there was a 2-hour delay at the school. Which was fine because we still would have chapel, just at another time later in the day. Well, then we got the call that school was cancelled all together. So, we got to sleep in a bit and get caught up on homework.
Wednesday morning we had chapel like we were supposed to and the service as well. Around 8pm though it started snowing and it was looking like our last few days at the school and church would be cancelled - and our arrival at the next church possibly delayed. They don't have much snow-romoval equipment here in NC. Thursday morning came and it was still snowing so...everything was off. We spent the day doing more homework-this time getting ahead since we had already caught up. :) Friday morning again, everything cancelled. But, later in the day we got the call that they had changed their minds and the service was going to be on that night since they got the roads cleared. After being cooped up so long in the apartment the girls and I went outside and took some pictures in the snow. Classic girl response to being cooped up right? Friday night we had our service with a great turn out.  I forgot to mention earlier that we went to a prison on Monday night for a few hours. I don't think I've ever been more out of my comfort zone but it ended up being reall neat. After having our service with the prisoners we got to talk to some of them as they left and a couple were sharing about how they look forward to the team coming every year, and several of them encouraged us on the sound of the group. That was Monday night. Something else the three of us girls did on those cancelled days was go to the gym of the school and play basketball with a few of the guys and thier host brother. Well, the other two played basketball. I studied. But I did play a game of soccer on Tuesday, so that's progress!
As one last thought before I turn in, here's a quote I found today:
"Do not ask God to guide your footsteps if you're not willing to move your feet."

Please pray with me as I continue relying on God to provide the support I need for our trip to Zambia in April, and as I try to figure out God's plan for me in the future. Along with that, please pray that God will give me the patience to wait on His timing and let Him hold the reigns. Thank you for your support and prayers.

In Christ,
Anna
